Be a Hero.
Fostering Saves Lives
Every day we are bombarded by requests to take in needy dogs. It breaks our hearts to not be able to save them all. The fact is: we can only rescue a dog from a shelter or bad situation if we have someone who will commit to foster them - that someone could be YOU!
We save dogs at risk
Many of these dogs have never known love and have never lived in a home before. Our fosters are heroes who help dogs learn to trust humans again.
We provide all the supplies you need to get your foster happy and healthy:
Crates, beds, toys, vet care, and even high-quality kibble donated (and delivered!) from PetWants.
Fosters are responsible for:
Helping dogs transition
Teaching the dogs the basics of living in a home
Basic manners, such as walking on a leash and not jumping on people
Training assistance is available for dogs requiring extra assistance. We also ask our fosters to bring their foster dogs to vet appointments - or to coordinate with the rescue to have a volunteer go.
Happy Tears and Happy Tails
We often hear “I could never foster, it would break my heart to let them go” - we know that letting your foster dog go is one of the hardest and most rewarding parts of fostering.
Our fosters know that we do our best to ensure a wonderful fit for each of our dogs, and they often continue to get “pup-dates” for years after their foster dogs are adopted! Many of our adopted pups end up with their own social media, so instead of 1 or 2 dogs, our fosters have an “extended family” of dozens of dogs they get to watch live their best lives by families that adore them and spoil them just the right amount.
Fostering isn’t easy, but every tear is so worth it!
